MEDIA RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE DISSEMINATION: April 29, 2016
On April 28th, 2016, the Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) of the Blood Tribe Police Service and the Cardston RCMP executed a Search Warrant pursuant to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) in the community of Moses Lake, on the Blood Reserve Alberta. Five Individuals, two adults and three youths were arrested and charged. The search resulted in the seizure of approximately 7 ounces of marijuana with a street value of approximately $2000 and $1131 in Canadian Currency.
The two adults charged are:
Cyles CHIEF BODY DOB: 1995/12/18
Released to appear in court on May 30th in Cardston Provincial Court.
Possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking
Possession of proceeds obtained by a crime
Vaughn OKA DOB: 1992/11/01
Released to appear in court on May 30th in Cardston Provincial Court.

Possession of proceeds obtained by a crime
The three youth (who cannot be identified due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act) were charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds obtained by a crime and will appear in youth court in Cardston Alberta.
