Blood Tribe Police Service responded with Blood Tribe EMS

MEDIA RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE DISSEMINATION: Feb. 21st, 2017

On Sunday February 19th, at approximately 8:35 pm, Blood Tribe Police Service responded with Blood Tribe EMS to a rural residence on the Blood Tribe Reserve where it was also reported that several people forced their way into the residence and caused injury to a male and female.

A 28 year old male was found in the residence with severe head injuries from being assaulted with a weapon. The male victim was transported by Blood Tribe Ambulance to Cardston Hospital and then to Lethbridge Regional Hospital and later flown by STARS to Calgary Foothills Hospital for emergency surgery. The male victim remains in critical condition in the ICU. The female victim was treated on scene.

Blood Tribe Police Service are actively investigating this matter and requesting the public’s assistance for information into this incident.
