Blood Tribe Police Service Crime Reduction

MEDIA RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE DISSEMINATION

On June 28th, 2017 the Blood Tribe Police Service Crime Reduction Unit with assistance of the Patrol Services Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle involved in trafficking fentanyl and meth on the Blood Reserve. As a result a male and female were arrested.


The following was seized as a result of the investigation:

  • 2 Grams of suspected Methamphetamine (Estimated Street value of $200.00)
  • 8 suspected Fentanyl Tablets (Oxy 80) (Estimated Street value of $480.00)
  • $414.00 Canadian Dollars
  • 4 cell phones

The following individuals were arrested as result of the investigation:

  • Kristy HEALY [1987-05-26] a resident of Lethbridge, AB.
  • Jeremy BRIDGE WATER [1981-12-21] a resident of Lethbridge, AB.

The accused parties were charged with the following offences:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking Methamphetamine
  • Possession of proceeds of crime

BRIDGE WATER was also arrested and charged for trespassing on the Blood Reserve according to the Kainai/Blood Tribe Trespass Bylaw.

HEALY was remanded into custody to appear in Cardston Provincial Court on Monday July 10th 2017.

BRIDGE WATER was released on Cash bail to appear in Cardston Provincial Court Monday July 10th, 2017.
