Blood Tribe Police Service Crime Reduction Unit conducted an Investigation surrounding
MEDIA RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE DISSEMINATION
On November 6th, 2017 the Blood Tribe Police Service Crime Reduction Unit conducted an Investigation surrounding the sale of Fentanyl and Meth on the Blood Reserve. The Crime Reduction Unit with the assistance of the Community Policing Division conducted a traffic stop resulting in three females being arrested.
The following was seized as a result of the investigation:
- 8 Grams of Meth
- 2 Grams of Fentanyl Powder
- 41 Fentanyl Tablets (Oxy 80)
- 1 Loaded Syringe (Suspected Meth)
- $620.10
- 4 Cell phones
The following individuals were arrested as result of the investigation and charged with the following offences:
Kasey DAY CHIEF [34] Resident of the Blood Reserve
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
- Possession of proceeds of crime
Executed outstanding warrants for her arrest:
- Fail to Attend Court
- Fraud under $5,000
- Fail to Attend Court
Remanded into custody to Appear in Lethbridge Provincial Court November 20th, 2017.
Tamara CROW CHIEF [26] Resident of the Blood Reserve
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine
- Possession of Buprenorphine (Suboxone)
- Possession of proceeds of crime
Executed outstanding warrants for her arrest:
- Theft Under x 6
- Fail to Appear2
- Fail to Attend x7
- Public Intoxication
- Municipal Bylaw
- Identity Fraud
- Obstruction x 2
Remanded into custody to Appear in Lethbridge Provincial Court House November 9th, 2017.
