Blood Tribe School Bus Collision
MEDIA RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE DISSEMINATIONCollision involving a Blood Tribe School bus and a pedestrian on the Blood Indian Reserve is still under investigation but not considered criminal in nature.
At approximately 6:00 am on September 27, 2018 a Blood Tribe school bus was travelling South bound on highway 509 near the intersection with highway 2, when a collision occurred with a pedestrian. The male pedestrian was transported to Chinook Regional Hospital where he died from his injuries. The school bus did not have any passengers and the driver was not injured.
Alcohol and speed are not considered factors in the collision.
The identity of the deceased will not be released.
