BTPS SERVICE MEMBER CHARGED WITH TWO COUNTS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT
On July 16, 2019, a Blood Tribe Police Service member was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual assault.
A female police officer of the Blood Tribe Police Service reported that in February of 2017, Constable Bradley Chief Body touched her inappropriately, during two separate incidents while they were both on duty.
The matter was investigated by the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) and in consultation with the Alberta Crown Prosecution Service (ACPS), ASIRT has laid two charges of sexual assault.
As a result of the charges being laid, Bradley Chief Body, a 10-year Constable with the service has been suspended from duty with pay, pending further review. He is scheduled to appear in Lethbridge Provincial Court on August 21, 2019 to answer to these charges.
As the matter is now before the courts, no further information will be provided.
