Blood Tribe Police Service is looking for witnesses of a serious assault that occurred Saturday in Moses Lake.

Blood Tribe Police Service is investigating a serious assault that occurred at 7am Saturday, October 5, 2019. Police were called to an assault in progress in the community of Moses Lake on the Blood Tribe. Witnesses stated that Steven Shouting a 23 year old resident of Blood Tribe, used a baseball bat to assault a 28 year old man, also a resident of Blood Tribe. The victim was found with serious injuries to his face and body. The victim was transported to Chinook Regional Hospital, his condition is unknown at this time.

Shouting was arrested on scene and found to be on multiple warrants for previous charges of assault, assault with a weapon and sexual assault. As a result of Saturday's assault he was further charged with aggravated assault, uttering threats, unlawful confinement, weapons offences and breaching conditions of a court order. Shouting has been remanded into custody and appears in Cardston Provincial Court on October 16, 2019.

The accused and the victim are known to each other.
