A Blood Tribe man has died after being run over by a Bobcat and one Blood Tribe man is in custody with pending charges.

On September 30, 2019 at 7 pm, police were called to an incident on Highway 2 where the victim was found to be deceased after being run over by a Bobcat. The operator of the Bobcat was taken into custody and the charge of Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle Causing Death is pending.

Blood Tribe Police Service is requesting public assistance in locating 15-year-old Bernadette PLAIN WOMAN. She was last seen August 19, 2019, at 12:00 p.m at the Blood Tribe Detox Centre in Standoff, Alberta. Bernadette is 5’0", 110lbs, small build with shoulder-length black hair with brown highlights and brown eyes. It is believed that she may be avoiding police contact and may introduce herself as 'Zoe' to avoid detection.

On August 29th, 2019, members of the Blood Tribe Police Service with the assistance of Alberta Law enforcement Response Team (ALERT) executed a search warrant in the community of Standoff on the Blood Indian Reserve.
