Man Arrested in Connection to Stabbing

On November 6, 2018, members of the Blood Tribe Police Service (BTPS) attended a private residence on the north side of the Blood Reserve in regards to a report of an altercation.
 
BTPS located a 25-year-old male suffering from stab wounds to his left arm and leg. The male was transported by EMS to Chinook Regional Hospital.
 
As a result of the investigation, Dexter SCOUT (29 yrs) was arrested and charged with the following:
- Aggravated Assault
- Assault with a Weapon
- Possess Weapon Dangerous
- Breach of Recognizance X3
 
Dexter SCOUT was brought before a JP and remanded for Court in Lethbridge on November 14, 2018.

Investigation Into Potential Threat to Kainai High School

On October 14, 2018, the Blood Tribe Police Service (BTPS) received information of a potential threat to the Kainai High School. The BTPS initiated an investigation into this matter and have taken a 17-year-old person into custody.
 
Subsequent investigation determined that the threat was not credible, however, there was sufficient evidence to proceed with Public Mischief charges pursuant to section 149 of the Criminal Code. 
 
No name will be released due to the person's age pursuant to the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
 
In an abundance of caution, the Kainai Board of Education has decided to close the Kainai High School and the nearby Middle School for Monday, October 15, 2018.

On October 3, 2018 members of the Blood Tribe Police Crime Reduction Unit entered into an investigation in relation to the sale of illicit drugs on the Blood Indian Reserve.
 
As a result of this investigation, police seized 18 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of methamphetamine, 1 gram of Heroin, and 9 Fentanyl pills. The estimated street value of all drugs seized is $3600.
 
Amanda Jade DAVIS (38 yrs old) was arrested and charged with the following:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine)
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Meth)
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Heroin)
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Fentanyl)
- Proceeds of Crime
- Resist Arrest x 2
- Obstruct Police
- Assault Police Officer x 2
 
DAVIS was released on bail and will appear at Cardston Provincial Court on October 15th, 2018.

22 YEAR OLD ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF CARFENTANYL

On Sept. 27, 2018 members of the Blood Tribe Police Service Crime Reduction Unit charged a 22 year old Blood Tribe man, for possession for the purpose of trafficking Carfentanyl on the Blood Indian Reserve.
 
As a result of a traffic stop, a male passenger was found in possession of Carfentanyl, cash and electronic devices. 
 
22 year old Aaron Tye ELI has been charged with following:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
- Possession of Proceeds of Crime
- Breach of Conditions
 
Police seized the following:
-33 suspected Carfentanyl pills
-$560.00 Canadian currency
-cell phone
-tablet
 
ELI was also found to be on numerous warrants from other police agencies.
