Front Desk Reception is responsible for the following, but not limited to: Fielding walk in and telephone inquiries, ensuring clients and partners are assisted appropriately. Clerical and administrative duties such as data entry and audits. Intake and processing of Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks. FOIP management and general organization of the front reception area. Any other duties as required.

On November 6th, 2017 the Blood Tribe Police Service Crime Reduction Unit conducted an Investigation surrounding the sale of Fentanyl and Meth on the Blood Reserve. The Crime Reduction Unit with the assistance of the Community Policing Division conducted a traffic stop resulting in three females being arrested.

The “Benign Neglect” of Policing is Failing First Nations Communities
Toronto, Ontario, October 24, 2017– At their Annual General Meeting in Toronto October 17-18,2017 the First Nations Chiefs of Police Association (FNCPA) unanimously passed a resolution calling on the Government of Canada and its Provincial partners “to entrench First Nations Policing as an essential service,” provide adequate human resources, infrastructure, and operations and maintenance resources, and “sufficient, predictable and sustained funding that meets the unique needs of each department.”

The Blood Tribe Police Service Crime Reduction unit report for September/October 2017
MEDIA RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE DISSEMINATION
For the month of September/October 2017, the Blood Tribe Police Service Crime Reduction Unit laid 30 charges in relation to drug investigations. A total of $3400 in Canadian currency, and illicit substances with a street value of $1600 including Fentanyl, Cocaine Prescription drugs were seized.
